After an intense battle to determine who in MiB had the shoddiest respect for timing, came up with lame excuses to cover their sloppiness, didn't give two hoots about their poor friends waiting for them, are total thevadiahs etc etc.. There was a 3-WAY TIE!!!!! Congratulations Satheeish, Maran and Rizvi. Now we know who in MiB we should tell to meet at 5pm when we are actually meeting at 7. Tsk TSk.. Shame on you all. You can come up with excuses, ask your lawyers to defend you and plead your innocence with a diablo face, but when the whole of MiB has voted and not a single person got a vote outside you 3, then hmmmmm..... What is interesting is these 3 "winners" stay within 1km radius from each other. Coincidence? Mulder and Scully where are you? Also, looking at the Singapore Map, Bishan is supposedly the most central part of Singapore. When you have people coming from Pasir Ris and Woodlands, it really is quite sad for Bishan. Imagine if they were living in Pasir Ris, will we ever get to see them?
The prize was a watch. But a 3 way-tie was never imagined. So er.. you could split the watch 3 ways, or make some effort to be on time from now on. All I can say is, the poll never lies, and some facts in MiB have been established. Watch out for the next poll!!!

Forbidden (to watch) Kingdom
Conversation between Harvey and Riz on Sunday night:
H: So what you wanna do tomoro? I am free after 6.
R: Movie? 6 dollars what.
H: Ok I dont mind. Probably will be you, me, zal and maybe vana. What show?
R: Forbidden Kingdom.
H: Sure ah? Hottie and Nottie?
R: *&*& YOU! CHow *&&(*&. Mother-*&(*&er.
H: But why?
R: Jackie chan and jet li damn solid show.
H: The other boleyn girl?
R: ^%&& YOUUUUU.
H: Ok ok. What about Nim's Island I heard its pretty okay.
R: (silence..)
H: ok ok forbidden kingdom..
After watching 1 and a half hours of absolutely bullcrap, Zal turns and asks me "who chose the movie?"
Rizvi Points straight at me.: Harvey.
Now the movie review. I am giving it 1.5 out of 5. Wait for the DVD dont waste your money going to the cinema. Too much flying through the air and silly dialogue. (You have passed through the Gate of No Gate.) One thing I didnt understand, if Jackie Chan and Jet Li were supposed to be speaking English, why were there subtitles? All I know is riz loved the show and fell in love with Golden Sparrow, the heroine in the show. He kept asking me "what more do you want?!" whenever she appeared on screen. Back to my point in an earlier post, "Riz is "frustrated". Guys help?"
When are we next meeting up? I want to play some football.

Chico's for the Cheeky Munky!
MiB met up on Friday 2nd may for dinner at this Chico's restaurant in Ang Mo Kio. Apparently it's the halal version of Botak Jones and it was so good that it drove its predecessor away. It was also a good opportunity for us to treat MRJ to his birthday dinner, who upon hearing this news, shook his head, stared at the ceiling and thought we were too low-class for his high-classness, if there is such a word.
People who came down were Harvey, Riz, Vana, Zal, Sat and Prak. Food was not too bad but I personally prefer Botak Jones. The chicken at Chico's was OK but the burgers looked like a letdown. I know that the Jones' burger was pretty sinful so given a choice, its the balding american for me.
We had some pretty good conversations on the table. For those who couldn't make it, I am sorry there is just some information that we cannot publish here. So next time, do try to come!
Ok further pointers:
1. MiB Fund: Now that the CPF money is IN please clear your debts to SK. SK I suggest charging interest of 10 cents a day starting 15th May if they do not even clear half their debt first. Speaking of SK, where have you been?!?!!?
2. Soccer on Friday at NUS 4pm 9th May. On?
3. Riz feels "frustrated". He needs to let off some steam. Help guys?
4. Who in MiB is watching Hindi movies now?
5. Din just cos you post something once in 2 months doesnt mean we forgive you, send us some photos of your new apartment etc etc.

MiB FC Player Profile: Dinesh
3. Dinesh
Position on the Pitch: Right Back, Centre Mid, Right Wing
Nicknames: Din, Pulthi
Player he Tries to Emulate: Steven Gerrard (Liverpool)
Memorable Quotes: “So what are you wearing tomorrow? I think that polka-dot bikini looks
great on you.”
“Sorry guys I don’t think I can meet you all today. No jeans.”
Will most likely say: “Wait, wait I can explain.”
“F%$k !F%$k! F%$k!”
Nothing (Sat will understand).
Will never be caught saying: “Pass it to my left foot!”
Profile:
Let’s be really honest. No one grows up saying, “You know what, I wanna be a damn fine right back when I grow up”. Right back can be quite a chore to play but it is full credit to our Dinesh K Verlachamy that he has made that position his own and his absence is quite apparent when we play field games without him. Dinesh has always been one of our finer players technically, barring some loose back passes, but that’s the Din we have come to know and love all these years. He is probably one of the fittest members of the team and only one of very few who has gone abroad and played some form of semi-professional football, and yes guys, that means training regularly. Very strong on his right peg and extremely quick off the mark are some of his finer attributes, but he himself will know his left leg tends sometimes to screw things up for him when he needs it the most. But no one is perfect, and MiB FC’s right back is one of the star names on our team sheets.
Dinesh has never been an orthodox defender and loves to maraud up and down the field as often as he can. With his increased fitness from overseas training (or maybe the declining fitness of the current centre midfielders), Dinesh has even started to stake a claim to play in the centre of the park. But he ends up playing at Right Back most of the time, not because we don’t want him in the centre, but because no one can do a better job on the right side of the defence than Din. We hope that he comes back at the end of his Aussie stint a more matured player, and that his experience of playing at the higher level will rub off on the rest of us.
Off the pitch, Dinesh is an amazing friend and a great person to talk to. He really is one of those guys that sticks with you when you need a friend, I can vouch for that. He loves a good laugh and normally makes up one of the movie-going gang when he is in Singapore. As much as his defence attorneys will try to deny it, our dear friend Dinesh has a tendency to like a certain breed of girls, but who am I to say anything about that? Dinesh has been one of the forefathers of the MiB team and continues to be one of our pillars of success. But he has never been the kind to bask in the limelight, he’d rather let his talking be done on the pitch.
The greatest accolade I can pay Din is that perhaps there was no one better to start this MiB FC Player profile than the man from Yishun (now Melbourne, loves Hong Kong). We are all waiting for you to come back so we can lay the ball down the right side and see a familiar figure racing down the touchline. For now, stay productive in Australia, but not TOO productive.
NEXT WEEK: Vana.

Harold and Kumar: Escape from Guantanamo Bay
A few of us met up today on Labour Day. Harvey, Riz, Rooban, Zal and Prak (special mention cos he was in the midst of studying for the exams). Decided to watch Harold and Kumar 2, have dinner, chit chat and chill..
Dinner was KFC. Same old boring MiB you say. But with MiB even the mundane is fun. Harvey tried to cheat the KFC lady out of 10 dollars when he forgot to pay (Riz recognised it as one of his signature moves) and Rizvi's cheese fries looked like they had picked up all the leftover fries from the floor and put it on his plate. But Riz gamely finished it. And Prak finished a Buddy Meal with him and his buddy, himself.
Now to the movie. Expectations were high after the first one had left us twisted with its sick humor. And the sequel did not disappoint. Maybe its just my view, but I thought it was better than the original. Piss, shit, private parts (both male and female, plenty and plenty of female), jokes about the Chinese, Indians, Arabs, US, the president, the government, unicorns, weed, prostitutes, you name it, it was there. It was an excellent movie to unwind and leave your brain at the door, but at the same time, as hard as this is to believe, the show had lots and lots of good points hidden behind the farts and boobies. It takes a real good movie to be serious while being gross out funny, and for that I would recommend you guys to definitely watch it. Maybe your parents and gf might not be so keen, but go watch it if you can.
I rate this show 3.5 out of 5. Definitely worth a watch if you wanna haf a real solid laugh but some of you may prefer to wait for the DVD.
Movie Ratings Out of 5:
1: Bring your gf along especially if you haven't seen her a lot. (eg. Naked weapon, the break-up..)2: Don't waste money wait for dvd. (eg. Vantage point)
3. Leave your brains at the door and have fun. (eg. semi-pro)
4: Worth watching in the cinema. (eg. Batman)
5: If you want to enjoy this movie then watch without your gf. (eg. Lord of the Rings)
